Jane is passionate about supporting charities and spent much of her life organising community action in schools and multi ethnic youth programmes, mainly in Kosovo. On her return from working for charitable organisations overseas and passing the baton to the next generation of incredible charity workers in the UK, she is now based in Somerset.
Inspired during a visit to stay with her family in the Hague, she attended a course at Meneer Chocola, and after completing her training with World Master chocolatier Ruth Hinks of Cocoa Black she found herself in a converted barn overlooking Glastonbury Tor at her home in Somerset.
Her approach is simple; natural ingredients, fresh flavours and as far as possible, locally sourced products. All the chocolate she uses is certified Fair Trade. "It's really important we only use chocolate sourced from plantations where the employees receive a living wage and have decent working conditions"
Celebrated as one of the 10 best artisans in the land by Olive Magazine, Jane has created an inspiring business based around her new passion, chocolate.
