Makers and Merchants have no such prejudice or hang-ups. We went to the boutique chocolatier, Sarah Payne at her very own Chocolate Barn (in name only!) deep in the West Sussex countryside, and got her to make us our luxoriously indulgent chocolates that land a dreamy, creamy smack!
Sarah started making chocolate brownies when she was on maternity leave in 2004. As she grew (!) ... so did the business. She now has a thriving family of children and an even bigger family of staff. For her, nurture and nature go hand in hand.
She makes lovingly handmade chocolate, to her own unique and thoughtful recipes, but in small batches by dedicated staff, and using organic Fairtrade cocoa from a single source, which guarantees a fair deal for the workers and their local environment. It all adds up to great tasting chocolate for us.
